WebEx Events: Home

Attendees will need a USB headset (and an Internet connection) to utilize the VoIP feature. We recommend that all attendees have headsets with microphones available. Prior to accessing the meeting, you will need to have the most up-to-date version of Java downloaded. If attendees have any difficulties accessing the meeting, they can call WebEx’s tech support number at 877-469-3239

Here are a few tips we’ve discovered that you can pass onto committee members: 

  1. Make certain you have an updated version of Java.
  2. Make sure you have the most recent WebEx software by checking the system requirements . This especially applies to users accessing the meeting through a mobile device.
  3. Only use PPT or PDF files.
  4. You will need a headset for VoIP. If you are using a machine with a built-in microphone, you will need to disable the built-in microphone and enable the microphone on your headset (a USB headset is best).
  5. Please allow a few minutes to get in and test your audio, etc. before the start time.
