Resources for Library Marketing & Outreach

Marketing for the Beginner

About This Guide

The conveners of ACRL’s Library Marketing and Outreach Interest Group have put together a growing beginner’s marketing guide that includes groups to join, blogs and websites to read, free and low-cost graphic design tools, collections of free images and icons, and other resources that spark inspiration when you have hit the proverbial creativity wall.

Join LMOIG

Established in 2014, the Library Marketing and Outreach Interest Group (LMOIG) provides a forum for discussion regarding effective digital and print methods, including, but not limited to social media, flyers, etc. to disseminate information about the value of their respective academic and research libraries in the United States and around the globe, and the services and events they offer and to work for the objectives of the Association of College and Research Libraries.

LMOIG consists of two co-conveners, two incoming co-conveners, and two past co-conveners. As of August 2017, the LMOIG had 971 members.

Officially join LMOIG through your ALA/ACRL membership. There is no extra cost to add the interest group when renewing your membership.
