Join librarians from the Black Caucus of the American Library Association (BCALA) and the ALA Graphic Novels Comics Round Table (GNCRT) as they present and discuss a comics reading list that highlights the history of the Black experiences and demand a new future for Black people. It is our hope the list will plant a seed that will continue to grow and serve as an essential resource for educators, parents, and readers of all ages.
The annual ACRL Academic Library Trends and Statistics survey is the largest national survey of its kind. The survey provides timely metrics for benchmarking, understanding trends, advocating for better resources, assessment, and conducting deeper research. Members of the Survey Editorial Board will share highlights from the 2019 survey and review changes in the 2020 survey, including the new academic library facilities component that will be sent to those who complete the Trends survey by February 28, 2021.
The ACRL Value of Academic Libraries (VAL) committee has been hard at work, and we’re excited to share updates on our initiatives with you and hear your feedback. In this session, we’ll focus on two initiatives – the Learning Analytics Toolkit and upcoming presentations from Library Impact Grant recipients. Attendees will also receive brief updates on other VAL activities.
