The ACRL/STS College Science Librarians Committee provides a forum for discussion of issues of concern to college science librarians.
The College Science Librarians Committee usually has eight to ten members. See the current committee roster. This helps to ensure some portion of the membership can attend conferences to help run the events. The committee composition is determined by section leadership.
Plan a discussion at ALA Annual Conference by determining topic and format. Some previous conference discussion topics have been posted to the STS website or published in STS Signal. The discussion group committee should gather proposed ideas from the membership to present a topic and lead a discussion, preferably followed by group discussion. Topics discussed include the issues affecting librarians at college libraries.
