About this guide

This guide is a list of scholarly resources in Russian Studies. Intended primarily for librarians; it may be useful to scholars in this field. It is curated and managed by members of the European Studies Section (ESS) of the Association of College & Research Libraries.

Users are free to copy and edit content from this guide for their own purposes.

Visit the European Studies Section website for more information on ESS. For additional resources, see the list of ESS subject guides.

For questions about the guide or if you are interested in contributing, contact the Russian Studies guide editors: Maria Gorbunova, Olga Makarova, Liladhar Pendse, Veronika Trotter.

Please note the limitations of the guide in terms of its coverage and scope: covering the multilanguage, multiethnic, multifacet cultural heritage of the Russian Federation and its resources was not feasible for the editors at this point. Hence the guide lists main sources pertaining to the official language and biggest ethnic group of the country.

Also note that some resources might not be available from IP addresses outside of Russia.
