Copyright of C&RL Articles

The agreement between ACRL and the author is a license to publish. The author retains copyright and thus is free to post the article on an institutional or personal repository subsequent to acceptance for publication in C&RL. All material in the journal may be photocopied for the noncommercial purpose of scientific or educational advancement.

Please note that authors to the journal hold the copyright for paper submitted.  A dispute of ownership among the authors or between the authors and other individuals will not be arbitrated by the journal. Should this situation occur, the paper will be pulled from the process until such time as the dispute is resolved by the parties.

C&RL articles are published under a CC-BY-NC license.  For additional information about agreements with ACRL, see the Publication FAQs.
