Scholarly Communication Help Desk 

The Scholarly Communication Help Desk: Librarians Asking Librarians is a service for academic librarians and staff to ask questions about fair use, copyright, open access, the Nelson Memo, or other scholarly communication topics.

Whenever a question comes up, email the Scholarly Communication Help Desk: Librarians Asking Librarians at ALA-ACRL-EBSS-ScholComm@ConnectedCommunity.org and a member of the EBSS Scholarly Communication Committee will respond as soon as they can. If they don't know the answer, they will find an expert who can or crowd-source the question.

The Scholarly Communication Help Desk was launched during 2022-2023 by committee members Dr. Dee Anna Phares (chair), Margie Ruppel (vice-chair and secretary), Katherine Safiah Donaldson, Caitlin Stewart, Dana Hettich, and Lauren Haberstock, The Help Desk has been stewarded by subsequent committee members Margie Ruppel (chair), Andrea Hebert (secretary), Brian Quinn, Carin Graves, and Miranda Phair. To contact the committee's current chair or members, see the current committee roster.
