About the Event

We hope to encourage discussion among representatives of academia, government, and the library community concerning AI’s impact on teaching, research, and library services, especially relating to STEM. 

The event is free and open to the public.

Keynote Speaker

Dr. Leo Lo, ACRL president, Dean of the College of University Libraries & Learning Sciences at the University of New Mexico, and Board liaison on the ACRL AI Competencies for Library Workers Task Force, will begin the session with a 30-minute keynote presentation. 

Invited Guest Speaker

We are pleased to have Nalini Mummalaneri, Senior Legal Advisor, United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), as our guest speaker.  Ms. Mummalneri will address the topic of AI at the USPTO.  

Lightning talks will complete the afternoon.
