To address ongoing, critical work in open access and scholarly communication, and will specifically address the following related areas: education, communication, advocacy, collaboration and other emerging areas.
Membership
The Scholarly Communication Committee usually has around fifteen members. See current committee roster. The committee often meets in person at ALA Midwinter and Annual, although in-person attendance is not required. It also holds two virtual meetings with required attendance.
Responsibilities
The Committee hosts programming at Midwinter and Annual and prepares short articles called "Scholarly Communication Investigations."
