News aggregator databases offer different content and features, but there is little guidance on how these databases compare. The ACRL/EBSS Electronic Resources in Communication Studies Committee has undertaken a project to address this issue. The project involves a comprehensive comparison of the six major news aggregators available to academic libraries in the United States;
We aim to provide librarians and researchers with a valuable resource to assist them in selecting the database that best suits their needs. The comparison encompasses coverage, scope, availability of 35 US newspaper titles, and features offered by each news aggregator. For the details about our project, see our publication.
