University Libraries Section (ULS): Executive Committee

Procedures and goals for members of the ULS Executive Committee, including the chair, vice-chair, past-chair, secretary, committee chairs, discussion group conveners, and members-at-large.

Responsibilities of the ULS secretary

  • Record the minutes of all meetings of the Executive Committee scheduled at or around ALA Conferences.
  • Within one month after each meeting, submit a draft of these minutes to the ULS Chair for review, who will subsequently send it to all members of the Executive Committee for review. Once minutes have been revised and approved, submit the minutes for dissemination via the ALA ULS Connect site and submit minutes to Lauren Carlton via e-mail for ACRL archiving.
  • Collect archival materials relating to ULS activities during your tenure of office, and when appropriate, submit these to the ALA Archives. 
  • Serve as a member of the Executive Committee.
  • Other duties as appropriate or needed.
