University Libraries Section (ULS): Executive Committee

Procedures and tips for members of the ULS Executive Committee, including the chair, vice-chair, past-chair, secretary, committee chairs, discussion group conveners, and members-at-large.

Responsibilities of the ULS secretary

  • Record the minutes of all meetings of the Executive Committee at the Midwinter Meeting and the Annual Conference. Within one month after each meeting, submit a draft of these minutes to all members of the Executive Committee. Once minutes have been revised and approved, submit the minutes for dissemination via the ALA ULS Connect site and submit minutes to Megan Griffin via e-mail for ACRL archiving.
  • Collect archival materials relating to ULS activities during your tenure of office, and when appropriate, submit these to the ALA Archives. 
  • Serve as a member of the Executive Committee.
  • Other duties as appropriate or needed.
