ACRL/EBSS Psychology Committee

This guide is designed to provide new and experienced psychology librarians with basic information about services and resources commonly provided by psychology librarians in the academic setting.

Search Hedges

Librarians are key factors in evidence synthesis reviews for their expert knowledge on databases, best practices to search various databases, and their clear understanding of the extent to which a term may affect a search by how it is constructed within a search string.

In furthering the shared experience, find previous search hedges below on a variety of topics that may be relevant to psychology reviews. These are helpful for anyone to use as samples or share with students/faculty working on systematic review search hedges - it's way easier than reinventing the wheel!
